Who Needs an iPod?

Okay, admittedly I'm addicted to my iPod but as a musican and one who is a bit OCD (big surprise, right?), I almost always have music of some sort running in my head and have for as long as I can remember. This phenomenon of having music "stuck in the head" is known as "earworms."

At any rate, the Wikipedia site does a good job covering it and has loads of related links though so just click here for more information. (remember, Wikipedia isn't a scholarly reference, but if you scroll to the bottom of most Wikipedia articles, you can usually find some there).

You can also check out WordSpy.com's entry on the subject by clicking here.

Here's what Oliver Sacks has to say about them:

What are your thoughts on earworms?
